The People's Front strongly condemns an outrageous act of Mr Oleksiy Honcharenko,  MP, who tried to spoil the piece of the Berlin Wall near the German Embassy in Ukraine for a clear purpose of political self-display.

The shameful act lacks not only any sign of culture, but any sense at all.

It is outrageous that the insolent act targeted a historic symbol, which has special significance for Germany and Ukraine as a part of Europe, liberated from the Russian and Soviet occupation.

These kind of actions cause harm to Ukraine's interests and divert the attention from what is really important: our clear and unambiguous international position.

People's Front condemns any act of disrespect or vandalism against the diplomatic missions of our international partners, with whom we share common respect for civilized international norms, rules and standards of conduct.

One cannot act like Russia. One cannot hold elections under the barrels of Russian guns. And no dubious statement can ever justify barbarism, which leads away from civilization, democracy and Europe.
